Rudi Michelson

Rudi founded Monsoon Communications in March 1999 and has since advised hundreds of company CEOs. Five clients have been using Monsoon services for ~15 years and two of these are now billion dollar market cap companies. Prior to Monsoon Rudi led public affairs for Transurban City Link where he was a MD direct-report responsible for all aspects of communications for one of Australia’s highest profile and controversial infrastructure projects. Tasks included managing Australia’s Etag launch and the then-new tolling of Melbourne roads; media launch of the Gateway to Melbourne; launch for the $500m IPO; branding/logo development; sponsorships including lead sponsorship of Melbourne’s F1 grand prix; mass public events; and issues management. Before Transurban, Rudi was the Public Affairs Manager at the Plastics and Chemicals Industries Association. Rudi holds a BBus & Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments.

Martin Soust

Martin has been a consultant for the past 12 years working primarily with private and public life science companies. Martin's experience includes operations and project management and he has extensive experience in business development and restructuring. He has worked with a diverse range of clients (both service providers and R&D companies) and has been involved in a number of ASX listings and secondary raisings as well as raising seed funding. Martin holds a BSc (Hons), MBA and a PhD.

Jennifer Wolcott

Jennifer is an experienced non-executive director and senior executive delivering effective policy and programs across a range of organisations. She has a track record of developing, negotiating and driving innovative strategy including regulatory reform and corporate strategy as well as communications and stakeholder relations. Jennifer’s career has focused on natural resource management and regional development including as a senior executive at Regional Development Victoria, Parks Victoria and the Environment Protection Authority. Jennifer has been a board director at the Royal Botanic Gardens and is currently a director of Trust for Nature and the Institute of Public Administration Australia.

Christine Webster

Christine is a journalist and communications adviser with almost 30 years’ experience. Christine has specialised in broadcasting radio news and current affairs and developing content for online for 26 years. Christine is a former online news presenter and senior journalist and agricultural reporter for Sunraysia Daily, Mildura.

Verity Wai-Smith

Verity is a recent graduate from Monash University, with a double degree in Communications and Business Management. With work experience ranging from small advertising firms to PwC, she's familiar dealing with clients with different needs.
